President's Report
Happy New Year All.
As 2024 comes to an end, so does my time serving you as the president. I have enjoyed all of these years in this position, but now it's time to pass on the torch to someone new. I will open the meeting on Saturday and then pass the gavel on to Wayne Myhre. I will miss being in this position but will be joyous in the role I will be accepting. We will discuss the upcoming class and several other projects that were slated in the previous meetings. My hopes are for the club to proceed with those and hopefully open the door for several more to be available.
The storms on December 28th left several without power. We had a great turnout on the repeater for the weather event and several good pieces of information was passed to JXN weather. Several calls were heard in the area that I can't recall hearing before, it is good seeing these people putting their ID's to use, I hope we see more activity in the future. Hope to see you at the meeting.
73's Charles
" Ham radio is a hobby and a privilege, don't waste it and let it slip away. Elmers can teach so much if you only listen, they have a wealth of knowledge that is only here for a short time. Anyone can be a mentor, the main thing is for you to listen. "
Editor note: Thank you Charlie for the many years you served as President.
