President's Report

Greetings fellow HAMS,

Crazy weather we have had lately. Been awhile since I’ve seen so much rain. Would like to see as many of you as possible at the Huntsville Hamfest coming up the weekend of the 16th and 17th of August. I’ve heard a couple of ours guys offering rides. I will be going solo as one of my daughters live in Huntsville.

The next meeting will be August 2nd same venue at 9am. Come join us for drink, breakfast and social. Hopefully we can continue conversation and plans for a secondary club repeater on the Collinsville water tower. This project has high probability of going thru with the help and enthusiasm of our members. See you Saturday.

VE TEST RESULTS

Charles Farmer, KJ5LJK from Taylorsville, MS came in as a Tech took the General Class test and passed, took the Amateur Extra test and also passed!

Kieanna Henry from Starkville, Ms took the Tech class test and passed!

Congratulations goes out to both of these people, which proves with some studies can make a difference!

This is what makes it all worth it, the time my team that gives up their time to help Administer these test! To see the happiness on their face when the Candidates see they passed and are now a higher license class or a brand new “HAM”! I thank GOD for giving me the opportunity to administer these test sessions and observe these people making a change in their lives!

Quote of the Month

“August is the slow, gentle month that stretches out the longest across the span of a year.
It yawns and lingers on with the light in its palms.” — Victoria Erickson
