President's Report
Happy New Year All.
I'm hoping everyone has had a great Christmas and New Year. Now that we have had celebrations for the birth of our Savior Jesus Christ and started 2024 with some pretty fireworks, it's time to get back on track with our favorite hobby.
It must be we spend a lot of our time and money doing this. Anyway, the radar is up and should be almost finished with the calibration sequence, all we need is to have some weather of some sort to complete the calibration. When that happens then they will tweak the system a few times and then hopefully it will run for many years.
The repeaters that Dennis had on the site are back up and running. We shouldn't see any difference in their operations and hopefully see more traffic on them again. I hope to see everyone at the meeting this Saturday the 6th around 9am at the Queen City truck stop.

EMCOMM EXERCISE TEST
THERE IS A SMALL GROUP OF AMATEURS, LOCATED IN EAST MISSISSIPPI AND ON THE COAST WHO ARE INTERESTED IN TRAINING FOR EMERGENCY COMMUNICATIONS. THESE AMATEURS HAVE BEEN CONDUCTING A NET ONCE A DAY USING FLDIGI ON 3581 USB AT 7:00 AM. IN ORDER TO FURTHER THEIR TRAINING, THE FOLLOWING EXERCISE WILL BE CONDUCTED. AS STATED IN THE EXERCISE MESSAGE, IT IS OPEN TO ANYONE WHO WANTS TO PARTICIPATE.
